Just be cautious and on the lookout. IF you see one I would like to know about it. **Also note that you are in the woods and ticks and fleas are very much out in the area. We furnish OFF so when you go out use it. Children should be guarded for ticks anytime they play outside. We are taking all corrective action to rid the play area of ticks but they still are present.

This home was built and furnished with a large family (or multiple families) in mind. The modern kitchen is open to the living room and dining area, meaning gathering around meal times can be social without cramping the cook. 25-30 minute drive on mostly four-lane roads back to Nashville for dining, sports, concerts, live music and more! Ashland City is very close for groceries and essential items. This house is located on 13 wooded acres at the end of a quiet culdesac, it doesn’t get much more peaceful than this! You will feel like you are in the middle of no where but are just a short drive from everything you may need. Nashville is just 30 minutes away, Bellevue is less than 20 and the adorable town of Kingston Springs (complete with a wood fired pizza place and ice cream shop) is about 10 minutes down the road. You will have the house and entire 13 acres to yourself, but we will be less than an hour away should you need anything and are always available through call or text! This home has been recently built so everything is in great condition. The kitchen is fully equipped for any kind of cooking and even has basic ingredients for you to use so you don’t have to buy something you only need a pinch of! It is family friendly but also a great space for a group without kids. We are close to some great places to kayak and even have kayaks available to rent if you don’t have your own. If you want to get out of the city but don’t want to have to travel very far this is the place for you! Perfect spot for a weekend getaway or a week of vacation with friends or family! There is a very large back deck with an awesome grill and beautiful view for you to use as well. In the back yard there is an in-ground trampoline and custom made ninja warrior style playground with swings and a zip line that runs along the side of the house. Traffic is very minimal in this area so walking, running and bike riding are so peaceful and serene. We also have a rustic trail cut down to one of the creeks on the property if you are up for a little hike! This area is so quiet and peaceful. We love walking, running, and riding bikes down the road. We love the privacy of the property with our closest neighbor just out of sight of the house. We love the river that is just a few miles away where we can put our kayaks in for some time on the water. Kingston Springs is our favorite place to go eat or listen to some live music, we also love the park, splash pad and log cabin library there. Bellevue is where we do our grocery shopping and go to the movie theater with super comfortable reclining seats. Pegram is a very small town but we do have a Dollar General, three gas stations, and a lot of really nice people =)

Summary: Welcome to Bells Bend, Nashville’s green lung. Your campsite is situated on the Cumberland river on 115 acres of river bottomland that has been in my family for nearly a century. There are three ponds on the property as a result of clay mining in the 1970’s. The ponds are home to many species of herons, ducks, owls, hawks, songbirds and the brilliant belted kingfisher. Direct your gaze upward and you might see the American Bald eagle soaring overhead in search of prey. Migrating Whooping cranes have been spotted on the ponds during several winters. The ponds are within walking distance from the campsite. Kayaks and a dock are available to you for $10 each per day. There is a grass fed cattle operation on the land. The cattle are fenced in and have watering troughs dotted along the fence rows. We ask that all gates remain closed and their water source undisturbed. You may reach the ponds without going through the cattle pastures. River traffic usually consists of pleasure boats on the weekends and the occasional barge with its search lights bathing the river and its banks. There are a few homes across the river at varying elevations. Aside from these homes, you will have a nice dark sky to enjoy. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise. Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry! Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
